4 : 1
യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളേ, യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾപ്പിൻ; യഹോവെക്കു ദേശനിവാസികളോടു ഒരു വ്യവഹാരം ഉണ്ടു; ദേശത്തു സത്യവും ഇല്ല, ദയയും ഇല്ല, ദൈവപരിജ്ഞാനവുമില്ല.
Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

4 : 2
അവർ ആണയിടുന്നു; ഭോഷ്കു പറയുന്നു; കുല ചെയ്യുന്നു; മോഷ്ടിക്കുന്നു; വ്യഭിചരിക്കുന്നു; വീടുമുറിക്കുന്നു; രക്തപാതകത്തോടു രക്തപാതകം കൂട്ടുന്നു.
By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.

4 : 3
അതുകൊണ്ടു ദേശം ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു; അതിലെ സകലനിവാസികളും വയലിലെ മൃഗങ്ങളും ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകളും ക്ഷീണിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; സമുദ്രത്തിലെ മത്സ്യങ്ങളും ഇല്ലാതെയാകുന്നു.
Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.

4 : 4
എങ്കിലും ആരും വാദിക്കരുതു; ആരും ശാസിക്കയും അരുതു; നിന്റെ ജനമോ, പുരോഹിതനോടു വാദിക്കുന്നവരെപ്പോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: for thy people are as they that strive with the priest.

4 : 5
അതുകൊണ്ടു നീ പകൽ സമയത്തു ഇടറിവീഴും; പ്രവാചകനും നിന്നോടുകൂടെ രാത്രിയിൽ ഇടറിവീഴും; നിന്റെ അമ്മയെ ഞാൻ നശിപ്പിക്കും.
Therefore shalt thou fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall with thee in the night, and I will destroy thy mother.

4 : 6
പരിജ്ഞാനമില്ലായ്കയാൽ എന്റെ ജനം നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; പരിജ്ഞാനം ത്യജിക്കകൊണ്ടു നീ എനിക്കു പുരോഹിതനായിരിക്കാതവണ്ണം ഞാൻ നിന്നെയും ത്യജിക്കും; നീ നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാനും നിന്റെ മക്കളെ മറെക്കും.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

4 : 7
അവർ പെരുകുന്തോറും എന്നോടു ഏറെ പാപം ചെയ്തു; ഞാൻ അവരുടെ മഹത്വത്തെ ലജ്ജയായി മാറ്റും.
As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.

4 : 8
അവർ എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ പാപംകൊണ്ടു ഉപജീവനം കഴിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്നായിട്ടു ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.
They eat up the sin of my people, and they set their heart on their iniquity.

4 : 9
ആകയാൽ ജനത്തിന്നും പുരോഹിതന്നും ഒരുപോലെ ഭവിക്കും. ഞാൻ അവരുടെ നടപ്പു അവരോടു സന്ദർശിച്ചു അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം അവർക്കു പകരം കൊടുക്കും.
And there shall be, like people, like priest: and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them their doings.

4 : 10
അവർ ഭക്ഷിച്ചാലും തൃപ്തി പ്രാപിക്കയില്ല; അവർ സ്ത്രീസംഗംചെയ്താലും പെരുകുകയില്ല; യഹോവയെ കൂട്ടാക്കുന്നതു അവർ വിട്ടുകളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.
For they shall eat, and not have enough: they shall commit whoredom, and shall not increase: because they have left off to take heed to the LORD.

4 : 11
പരസംഗവും വീഞ്ഞും പുതിയ വീഞ്ഞും ബുദ്ധിയെ കെടുത്തുകളയുന്നു.
Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the heart.

4 : 12
എന്റെ ജനം തങ്ങളുടെ മരത്തോടു അരുളപ്പാടു ചോദിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ വടി അവരോടു ലക്ഷണം പറയുന്നു; പരസംഗമോഹം അവരെ ഭ്രമിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തെ വിട്ടു പരസംഗം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God.

4 : 13
അവർ പർവ്വതശിഖരങ്ങളിൽ ബലി കഴിക്കുന്നു; കുന്നുകളിൽ അവർ നല്ല തണലുള്ള കരുവേലത്തിന്റെയും പുന്നയുടെയും ആലിന്റെയും കീഴെ ധൂപം കാട്ടുന്നു; അവിടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രിമാർ പരസംഗം ചെയ്യുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രഭാര്യമാർ വ്യഭിചരിക്കുന്നു.
They sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and burn incense upon the hills, under oaks and poplars and elms, because the shadow thereof is good: therefore your daughters shall commit whoredom, and your spouses shall commit adultery.

4 : 14
നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രിമാർ പരസംഗം ചെയ്യുന്നതും നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രഭാര്യമാർ വ്യഭിചരിച്ചുനടക്കുന്നതും ഞാൻ സന്ദർശിക്കയില്ല; അവർ തന്നേ വേശ്യാസ്ത്രീകളോടു കൂടെ വേറിട്ടുപോകയും ദേവദാസികളോടുകൂടെ ബലികഴിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ ബുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത ജനം നശിച്ചുപോകും.
I will not punish your daughters when they commit whoredom, nor your spouses when they commit adultery: for themselves are separated with whores, and they sacrifice with harlots: therefore the people that doth not understand shall fall.

4 : 15
യിസ്രായേലേ, നി പരസംഗം ചെയ്താലും യെഹൂദാ അപരാധം ചെയ്യാതെയിരിക്കട്ടെ; നിങ്ങൾ ഗില്ഗാലിലേക്കു ചെല്ലരുതു; ബേത്ത്--ആവെനിലേക്കു കയറിപ്പോകരുതു; യഹോവയാണ എന്നു സത്യം ചെയ്കയുമരുതു.
Though thou, Israel, play the harlot, yet let not Judah offend; and come not ye unto Gilgal, neither go ye up to Bethaven, nor swear, The LORD liveth.

4 : 16
യിസ്രായേൽ ദുശ്ശാഠ്യമുള്ള പശുക്കിടാവിനെപ്പോലെ ദുശ്ശാഠ്യം കാണിച്ചാൽ യഹോവ അവരെ ഒരു വിശാലസ്ഥലത്തു കുഞ്ഞാടിനെപ്പോലെ മേയിക്കുമോ?
For Israel slideth back as a backsliding heifer: now the LORD will feed them as a lamb in a large place.

4 : 17
എഫ്രയീം വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടാളിയാകുന്നു; അവനെ വിട്ടുകളക.
Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone.

4 : 18
മദ്യപാനം കഴിയുമ്പോൾ അവർ പരസംഗം ചെയ്യും; അവരുടെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ ലജ്ജയിൽ അത്യന്തം ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു.
Their drink is sour: they have committed whoredom continually: her rulers with shame do love, Give ye.

4 : 19
കാറ്റു അവളെ ചിറകുകൊണ്ടു ചുറ്റിപ്പിടിക്കുന്നു. അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ബലികൾഹേതുവായി ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകും.
The wind hath bound her up in her wings, and they shall be ashamed because of their sacrifices.
